Ingredients
10 Green Pears
3-5 tbsps Brown sugar
1/4 tsp Ground Cinnamon
Pinch of Nutmeg
1/4 Lemon juice
Method
- Cut pears in half, peeled or unpeeled (skin will not be fibrous). Pears shouldn’t be overly ripe
- Marinate all ingredients
- Lay them on a lined baking tray, single layer
- Steam at 100c for about 30-50 mins (depending on the variety of pears. Ready when you can pierce them with a fork)
- Let cool. Store in the fridge with liquid/sauce
Sous vide pears are lovely too, if you have access to a vacuum sealer.
