Enchanting Poached Pear

Poached Cinnamon Pears take your pancakes and ice cream to the next level. Skin on for extra fiber or peeled..


10 Green Pears

3-5 tbsps Brown sugar

1/4 tsp Ground Cinnamon

Pinch of  Nutmeg

1/4 Lemon juice


  1. Cut pears in half, peeled or unpeeled (skin will not be fibrous). Pears shouldn’t be overly ripe
  2. Marinate all ingredients
  3. Lay them on a lined baking tray, single layer
  4. Steam at 100c for about 30-50 mins (depending on the variety of pears. Ready when you can pierce them with a fork)
  5. Let cool. Store in the fridge with liquid/sauce

Sous vide pears are lovely too, if you have access to a vacuum sealer.
