Citrus cake

Citrus cake. ‘Tis the šŸŠcitrus season.. Amazing how a citrus cake can taste this good! The not-so-sweet citrus slices take the cake to the next level of yum. Simmer lemon, lime and mandarin slices in 1 cup water & 1 cup sugar for 15 mins. Remove slices and reduce sugar syrup until thick, like maple or corn syrup. Line citrus slices into a (lined) baking pan. Pour cake batter in and bake #combisteam hot air humid 160c for 50 mins or BakeOmatic loaf cake, medium brown. Pour citrus syrup over cake. The balance of sweet and sour is divine ..no intervention needed šŸ˜‡
